South Pacific Sunset

This commission request was to capture the transparency of ocean water, contrasting with the dramatic sunset. The 3D boat made of smalti glass gives relief to the surface as well.

Shriners' Children Hospital- Portland, OR. 2011 Front entrance 3D mosaic. Fish are jumping out of the river, through the wall and come out the other side of this wall for the visitors to see.

Van Gogh - Irises

This commission reimagines Van Gogh's painting in stained glass. I used a rare VanGogh glass which is a painted-textured glass to give more interest. It was exciting to enter into Vincent's way of seeing color. SOLD

Wintergreen Townhomes

This large mosaic sign will greet the residents to the new Wintergreen Townhomes on Bainbridge Island, WA. This project was a uniquely-funded program through the city's art commission, AHB, which used a small portion of public funds to bring arts to private spaces.

Pear Blossoms

6 sf. mosaic insert behind the stove for a N. Portland house. The pear blossoms are detailed, custom-made fused glass pieces which refer to a tree growing in the residents' backyard.

Three of Swords

This tarot card was made on glass to hang in the window. It has special meaning for the person who commissioned it. I found out a lot about tarot in the past 4 years, and would be happy to work on other cards as well.
